No Sew Cosplay: Lucy Wilde from Despicable Me

I’m your new partner! YAY!

Sunglasses: You will need some overly large turquoise sunglasses like these ones here for this cosplay. Just like she does, you should wear them on top of your head almost like a hair decoration.

Scarf: It’s actually surprisingly difficult to find a white scarf with pink polka-dots versus the other way around. At least one that is quality! I found one on amazon that had horrible reviews and that was it. I did manage to find this alternative style scarf that has different colored polka-dots and great reviews here. After all, what’s the point of getting something low quality you won’t even be able to wear again for a different outfit? I finally found a different website that does have a white and pink polka-dot scarf though here though it’s a bit more expensive.

Evening Dress: Lucy’s awesome turquoise evening dress is actually pretty easy to find but this one seems to have the proper length and straps. It has some added details in the chest area but I think it’s subtle enough that it will look good.

Trench Coat: This is actually optional, as Lucy takes her trench coat off at several points in the movie. It’s also very difficult to find a trench coat that is not only the correct color, but the right length an style. For example, I found this lighter teal trench coat on Etsy but it has a strap versus buttons to close it. Ultimately this one is my favorite as it has white buttons and looks closer to the color.

Purse: A white envelope purse with a chain like this one would also be an optional choice. I tend to like to bring things like bags with me though so I can store supplies like extra makeup, my wallet and anything that I might need especially if I’m going to a convention.

Heels: There’s probably no getting around the fact that Lucy is wearing some pretty thin high heels like these ones here. My suggestion is to walk in them frequently before the convention so that you don’t have any wardrobe problems on the day of. If you are worried that you might not be able to walk on such thin heels, which would be my problem, you could probably get away with shoes with a chunky heel like these ones instead. Whatever you end up doing, make sure to also paint your toenails red!

Makeup/Wig: For the makeup you will need black eyeliner, mascara (you could also add fake eyelashes), blush and some darker pink lipstick. If you don’t already have orange/red eyebrows you will need to use an eyebrow pencil to give it that color. You will need to get a orange wig and style the hair up into a bun, which might be difficult. It might be easier if you have longer hair just to grow it out and then dye it.

Lipstick Taser?: Apparently they actually make one! Of course, I don’t recommend taking one of these to a convention! After all, there are tons of rules for weapons at those types of things.
