Just a normal girl with a normal life… But there’s something about me that no one knows yet. Because I have a secret!
You can also check out the video version of this now as well!
Hair Ties: Pretty simple, Marinette wears her hair up into two pigtails using red hair ties like these ones here.
Earrings: While in her normal outfit, Marinette has on a pair of black stud earrings with silver trim to them. However, there is also a store on Etsy known as MagicalMacGuffins that makes the Miraculous Ladybug Earrings and they look fantastic too! They have excellent reviews as well~!
Jacket: Marinette is wearing a black to dark grey blazer jacket with short sleeves such as this one (top picture) only hers has a lining in it that is white with pink polka dots. You can solve the issue with fabric paint but it will take several layers. Make sure you’re happy with the look and fit before painting, of course~! I also liked this jacket (bottom picture) because it doesn’t have as large of a collar and is closer to Marinette’s, though it currently as no reviews.
Shirt: A very talented person on Tumblr named Mero-Chan has reproduced Marinette’s shirt logo which you can find here for downloading. All that she asks is that you credit her for the design and not sell any merchandise with the logo on it since she was asked to take her own shirts down. I took the design onto Zazzle.com and played around with the shirt settings to find that you can get it to look right, just take off the signature for obvious reasons beforehand.
Pants: You will need a pair of pink capri pants in order to pull of Marinette. This is easier said than done, since a lot of ones I saw were either two dark, light or were too long. I did, however, find this pair of jeggings that could work just as well, while also being more form fitting. To get the perfect look, roll up the cuff a little and paint a rectangular shape with white fabric paint on the front and one on the back.
Shoes: Of course, the most perfect shoes that I could find for this cosplay are also fairly steep in price. However, these ballerina flats (top picture) have the black string and black outline that Marinette’s also have. These shoes (bottom picture) are also in the same style, however, and are a lot less expensive if you are on a tight budget.
Now, it’s time to transform! Tikki, spots on!
